3. The competition is international and open to the public.
4. The competition will be held in 6 categories:
I. category – born in 2010 or younger – up to 6 minutes of free choice program
II. category – born in 2008 or younger – up to 8 minutes of a program featuring two different style periods of your choice
III. category - born in 2006 or younger - up to 12 minutes of a program featuring two different style periods of your choice
IV. category – born in 2004 or younger - up to 15 minutes of a program featuring two different style periods of your choice
V. category – born in 2002 or younger - up to 18 minutes of a program featuring two different style periods of your choice
VI.category – no age limit
- 1st round - up to 15 minutes of a program featuring two
different style periods of your choice
- 2nd round - up to 20 minutes of a program featuring two
different style periods of your choice without replaying the program from the 1st round.
5. The order of candidates for competition will be determined by alphabetical order, starting with the letter T, and will be published no later than 5 days before the beginning of the 7th Zagreb Guitar Festival.
6. Younger candidates can compete in the higher category.
7. Candidates who have won the first prize at the Zagreb Guitar Festival in previous years cannot compete in the same category again.
8. Candidates must perform the compositions by heart.
9. Changing the registered program is not allowed.
10. Requested duration implies overall performance of competitors.
11. In case of exceeding the time, the jury has the right to terminate the performance of competitors
12. Competitors will be evaluated by the jury appointed by ZGF organizers. The jury will consist of prominent national and international guitarists and pedagogues.
13. A member of the jury does not evaluate his own student or a competitor he is related to.
14. By registering to participate in the competition, participants accept the terms and conditions.
15. By registering, participants accept and waive their rights and fees for authorship and agree with the public nature of the Festival as well as with broadcasting the recordings of the Festival.
16. Under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, by registering, the participant consents to the following:
- Zagreb Guitar Festival and the organizer (Music School Bonar) can use his/her personal data for the purpose of promotion on the Zagreb Guitar Festival and EuroStrings website, as well as on social media pages.
- Zagreb Guitar Festival and the organizer (Music School Bonar) are the data controller and can use personal data (name and surname, biography, promotional photographs and videos) for the above purpose.
- Zagreb Guitar Festival and the organizer (Music School Bonar) will store participants’ contact details on its database in case they need to contact the participant for professional purposes. The participant has the right to withdraw his/her consent at any time.
17. The organizer holds the right to postpone the competition in case unfavorable Covid19 Pandemic Situation in Croatia (Zagreb).
18. The organizer holds the rights to change the program and the timetable.
