Janja Ferenc

Janja Ferenc graduated with a master’s degree in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She has worked as a communications manager and event producer at several cultural organizations. During her bachelor studies in journalism, she has gained practical experiences as a cultural journalist for Slovenian national newspapers and as a producer assistant at the commercial radio station.

Meanwhile, she has also started producing and organizing a number of different cultural events, from poetry evenings and film screenings to art festivals and conferences. As a communications manager for a cultural non-profit agency (CUMEDIAE, Culture & Media Agency Europe) she has been responsible for the preparation and execution of communication plans, website management, monitoring of public tenders and planning of the professional events. She has been involved in several EU projects addressing current European cultural policies.

Since March 2017 she is working as ELIA Conference Manager, focusing on organization, communication and development of ELIA professional events and meetings. She is also a holder of a certificate of MOOC Managing the Arts: Marketing for Cultural Organizations, provided by the Goethe-Institute and Leuphana University.
