Ollie McGhie
Ollie McGhie is the great-grandson of Polar Explorer, Tryggve Gran. As a child Ollie dreamed of vast white landscapes, telling stories of the race to the South Pole. Now, he lives in Bristol, UK and works freelance as a writer, communications consultant and graphic designer, as well as being a full-time father. His design clients include The Science Museum (London), International Guitar Foundation, BGS Records, Rolfe Judd Architecture, BOP Consulting, Kiely & Co. and the Franco-British Council.
He originally studied English Literature at Sussex University before gaining post-grad qualifications in design (London College of Communication) and journalism (London School of Journalism). Formerly features editor on Classical Guitar Magazine Ollie still contributes articles and has written for the Independent Newspaper and Classical Music Magazine. He played classical guitar to degree level at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and sings baritone in the Brigstowe Consort.
One day he hopes to get to the South Pole.
